You complete my soul
Like jilted lovers, we to and fro
I push you far, you pull me near
You tell me truths I hate to hear
But, it is the silences I most fear
You know me more that I know myself
Revealing what I could not face
Reminding me it's not always safe
You show to me that darker side
In many ways you stole my youth
You took away that little girl
The one who sung and skipped and danced
In her eyes, so much light
You snuffed that out
